Chaos Battle Log
August 16, 2004

An interesting day of street skirmishes and missions. I had an unexpected promotion to SL 30 during the day, probably due to being asked to hit the streets in Brickstown and certainly due to the help of several key heroes like Star Core.

Igloo and I started the day by visiting Founders Falls and realized relatively quickly that we are not ready to face the Ritki en' masse. During our ignoble retreat out of this beautiful/sureal area, Igloo began conversing with Star Core, a fellow hero in the Falls. As we hit Brickstown, Star decided to join us which turned out to be a very good thing.

Star is a SL31 technology blaster with a mine capability that wiped out groups of SL31 villains in one explosion - taking down as many as 10 at a time. SL32 villains take a bit of clean-up to finish off the tougher LT's. Thanks to Star, we accumulated significant exp. and shortly after having Satindoll and Desert Scorpion join us, Igloo left, having his younger sibling Corporal Cold step in sk'd to help out.

During this session of skirmishes, we made the mistake of agro'ng a group of SL35's and almost everyone had to be rez'd. After a couple of hours of this, the group broke up and heroes went and did whatever heroes do when they are not fighting crime and arch villains.

Later in the day, I came back on and was halfway through a timed mission when Ikai showed up, with her help, we made short work of the mission and took another from one of my contacts. This too was timed and we had just started wading through the villains, when Mr. Tech messaged that he was available to assist in any arrests.

Tech's accelerate metabolism really helped in a couple of the tight spots as we quickly wrapped up this mission. Major Quake also put in an appearance towards the middle of this mission and his help sped things up a bit.

Info Overload joined us for one mission then jumped in to help Ivory Mistress and Captain Meson battle a few villains.

Shortly Corporal Cold, Desert Scorpion, and Star Core all jumped in with another round of Brickstown skirmishes. Again we managed to agro a group of 35's with mixed results - I had hit my SL30 earlier so I was able to handle them a bit better, but hard to take down foe at that level when your damage is single digit with mostly misses. Corporal Cold proved invaluable during this skirmish with his ice rink, keeping even SL35 foes off their feet. Even so, a couple of us went down during this battle. Throughout the Brickstown running street battle i'm afraid that I outpaced my SK a couple of times Corporal Cold fell more than once - my apologies for this Corporal.

We then took a couple of missions given to me by a contact with Star's help - stealth and mine capability, we waded through the L29 villains without a hitch. Most everyone was debt free by the end of the night which is definitely a good feeling.

Anyway, that was the situ as of last night. Today I have a number of things to get done - so I'll catch up with everyone tonight.

~Choas

Sgt. Chaos Battle Log
August 15, 2004

Major, Satindoll, Araneae, and Fordin worked to wrap up a couple of missions for one of my contacts. Fordin had to run after first mission, but some good exp. all around.

Once Ikai showed and Araneae left (said she had to run some errands - a heroes' life is never dull), we attempted to do a Bastion TF and found that you need 6 to start, so we recruited 3 and Satin mentioned needing to leave so ended up with 6 at the start. Mix was 2 controllers (both SL 28 - one Major Quake and the other Xenon 54), 2 defenders (Ikai at SL 28), 1 scrapper (Chaos at SL 29), and 2 blasters (1 SL 27 Tsy something or other and 1 SL 28 - Dalamar I believe).

Mission started out ok, though we did have a couple of deaths in the first 2 door missions, then one defender left. Deaths became a bit more prevalent as Dalamar (not totally sure on the name - things became kind of a major grind/blur especially after my death/rez) wanted to be a tank and kept agro'ng then expecting everyone else to bail his butt out of the fire.

Dalamar quit the mission after one death and did not return, leaving us with 5. Then during the 3rd to last door, Tsy bailed saying he needed to "reboot" something and failed to return. This left our "Task Force Team" with only 4 combatants - 2 controllers, 1 defender, and 1 scrapper. If it weren't for one of the controllers having PA capability and for Ikai's timely heals, we would have had to abort the task force. As it were we all died at least once, with the record going to Major Quake who went down 5 times.

Slow and methodical, we TP'd foe and PA'd our way through the final missions with some serious SO's being uncovered.

I'll post some screenshots over in my personal Blog so anyone with a high enough SL can view.

Final boss turned out to be not so tough once PA's jumped in to help bash away at him. Some of the MKII's were tougher at SL31.

This Task Force turned into a major grind once we came down to Chaos being the only real damage dealer, though my SO's in Eviscerate, Spin, and Strike helped as did the PA's and Major's holds.
So advice to any teams wanting to take this Task Force is to make sure that you have a couple of Scrappers/Blasters at SL29 or higher and to have one controller with PA if possible. Rest of the team is pretty normal with at least one good healer (2 is better) and maybe a tank to help take agro.

Gotta roll so be safe people,

~Chaos

Sgt. Chaos
=================================================
Stardate 081304

Today's missions seemed more focused. Received a series of Sky Raider missions and had a couple of wards along SK'd helping out. The missions went down like clockwork (lol) until the last one.

The last mission started out earily empty at the front side of mission, then more and more raiders showed up in groups. Almost like they new we were coming - strange as this was supposed to be a surprise attack - need to discuss this more with my contact.

Major Quake was doing an excellent job locking down the enemy while the blasters, tank, and scrapper jumped in to take them down. I don't know if it was due to all of us getting tired after a long day of missions or if we just needed to change tactics for this mission given the lack of surprise, however Major went down for the count 3 times in fairly quick succession.

Once we switched back to my pulling agro with TP Foe, things worked a little better, however was still a tough mission just due to sheer numbers and due to the Jump Bots' hardiness under fire - took forever to knock these guys down.

On the bright side, a number of SL's were given out during the course of the missions - Shell. (a sk'd tanker for part of the night) leveled up as did Belvia's Angel (a close friend of The Ivory Mistress). I also made SL 29 (Yipee!) which was a nice surprise, though I had heard rumors of it being in the works.

There is some scuttlebutt of a Task Force mission on Sunday, not sure how this will work, but would be a nice way to try and catch Info Overload - though she may be along. Seems I am continually chasing her "coat tails" hehe, but glad to have a big sister to help out with some of these tougher missions.

I also hear that Igloo is coming up through the ranks fast - seems like only yesterday we were having to SK him to keep him alive and these days, even in the toughest missions, he is playing a pivotal role in keeping everyone alive. Ice Patch is very effective, even if it does cause a good deal of Agro against Igloo, I try to time my AOE's to pull some of this off him.

Also, notable once again was Ikai's healing capabilities. We all would have gone down at one point or another if she had not been along to provide first aid.

Others along on the missions were Araneae again -very capable blaster, Mr. Tech - very helpful Accelerate Metabolism and healing, Farhaneit, and Expresso Joe both showed for a bit helping us through a couple of assignments.

Gotta Roll now as I hear there is an alert for an important mission so......be safe people.

~Chaos

Sgt. Chaos BLOG

From the Battle Logs of Sgt. Chaos Stardate 081204 Hmm, this just keeps getting better and better..... The last couple of days have seen some mixed action and more of my teammates seem to be distracted during the missions. Perhaps seeing the Ritki Boss in a routine mission rattled one of my partners the other night. Anyway, the boss turned out to be relatively simple after the build up during the mission, course it always helps to have a healer along (must remember to thank Ikai properly sometime). Araneae was along and sk'd to me so her blasts really helped to keep Sir Ritki off his balance and my damage dealing capability has significantly increased with the application of these new SO's I have been experimenting with - needless to say by one of the shots posted here yesterday, Sir Ritki is no more. Last nights missions were good, though seemed to be less team talk during the missions and in between - miss that some as it makes team tasks so much better. Mostly routine missions last night, although we did have a WarWolf appear upon defeating one of the higher level 5th's. I hear that Info has been promoted to SL 29, seems like she is always one step ahead of me which is not necessarily a bad thing hehee - sometimes good to have a big gun to pull in on a tough mission! Well, gotta get another cup of joe and get ready for today's assignments so I'll sign off for now. Another day another Blog. Sgt.
